(2) Folic acid exhibits antagonistic activity to the inhibitory action of emodin on RNA and DNA snytheses. In presence of 3.6×10~(-5)M emodin and 5.6×10~(-4) M folic acid, the percentages of recovery of RNA and DNA syntheses are 47 and 41 respectively.
