[NIV] 'This is what Cyrus king of Persia says: ' 'The Lord , the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and he has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah.

[NIV] 'This is what the Lord , the God of Israel, says: Tell the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of me, 'Pharaoh's army, which has marched out to support you, will go back to its own land, to Egypt.

“耶和华以色列的神如此说:犹大王打发你们来求6问我，你们要如此对他说:‘那出来帮助你们法老的军队，必回埃及本国去。 |

[NIV] 'Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.

15[和合]“你们要防备假先17知；他们到你们这里来，18外面披着羊皮，里面却是残暴的19狼。 |

[NIV] 'Who is it he is trying to teach? To whom is he explaining his message? To children weaned from their milk, to those just taken from the breast?

讥诮先知的说:“他要将知识指教谁8呢?要使谁明白传言呢?是那刚断奶离怀的吗? |

[NIV] 'Who is this that rises like the Nile, like rivers of surging waters?

7[和合]象尼罗河涨发，象江河之6水翻腾的是谁呢? |

[NIV] 'Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed and establishes a town by crime!

12[和合]以人13血建城，以罪孽立邑的有祸了! |

[NIV] 'Yet they are foam on the surface of the water; their portion of the land is cursed, so that no one goes to the vineyards.

[NIV] 'You have said, 'It is futile to serve God. What did we gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like mourners before the Lord Almighty?

14[和合]你们25说，事奉神是徒然的，遵守神所吩咐的，在万军之耶和华面前苦苦斋戒，有什么益处呢? |

[NIV] A base and nameless brood, they were driven out of the land.

|
8[和合]这都是愚顽下贱人的儿女，他们被鞭打，10赶出境外。 |

[NIV] A fool spurns his father's discipline, but whoever heeds correction shows prudence.

5[和合]愚妄人藐视父亲的5管教；领受6责备的，得着见识。 |

[NIV] A fool's lips bring him strife, and his mouth invites a beating.

6[和合]愚昧人张嘴启争端，开口招鞭打。 |
