And Joshua did not withdraw his hand with which he stretched out the javelin until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of Ai.

And Joshua did unto them as the LORD bade him: he houghed their horses, and burnt their chariots with fire.

9约书亚就照耶和华所吩咐他的去行，砍断他们马的蹄筋，用火焚烧他们的车辆。 |

And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout.

10约书亚吩咐百姓说，你们不可呼喊，不可出声，连一句话也不可出你们的口，等到我吩咐你们呼喊的日子，那时才可以呼喊。 |

And Joshua made knives of flint and circumcised the children of Israel at Gibeath-haaraloth.

And Joshua made peace with them and made a covenant with them to let them live, and the leaders of the assembly swore an oath to them.
