The LORD will carry out his purpose, his decree against the people of Babylon.

The LORD will cause men to hear his majestic voice and will make them see his arm coming down with raging anger and consuming fire, with cloudburst, thunderstorm and hail.

30耶和华必使人听他威严的声音，又显他降罚的膀臂，和他怒中的忿恨，并吞灭的火焰，与霹雷，暴风，冰雹。 |
|
The LORD will destroy Babylon; he will silence her noisy din. Waves of enemies will rage like great waters; the roar of their voices will resound.

55因耶和华使巴比伦变为荒场、使其中的大声灭绝．仇敌彷佛众水波浪匉訇、响声已经发出。 |

The LORD will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow.

The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity–in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground–in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you.

The LORD will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land and will again choose Jerusalem.
