[NIV] Terror and pit and snare await you, O people of the earth.

地上的居民哪，恐10惧、陷坑、网罗，都临近你。 |

[NIV] Terror will seize them, pain and anguish will grip them; they will writhe like a woman in labor. They will look aghast at each other, their faces aflame.

8[和合]他们必惊惶悲痛，愁苦必将他们抓住；他们疼痛，好象9产难的妇人一样，彼此惊奇相看，脸如火焰。 |

[NIV] Terrors overtake him like a flood; a tempest snatches him away in the night.

20[和合]惊26恐如波涛，将他27追上；暴风在夜间，将他刮去。 |

[NIV] Terrors overwhelm me; my dignity is driven away as by the wind, my safety vanishes like a cloud.

|
15[和合]惊17恐临到我，驱逐我的尊荣如风；我的福禄如18云过去。 |

[NIV] That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.

|
因此，在你们中间有好些软弱的与患病的，死的也不少(“死”原文作“36睡”)。 |

[NIV] That is why rural Jews-those living in villages-observe the fourteenth of the month of Adar as a day of joy and feasting, a day for giving presents to each other.

所以住无城墙14乡村的犹大人，如今都以亚达月十四日为设筵欢乐的吉日，彼此馈送15礼物。 |

[NIV] The Daughter of Zion is left like a shelter in a vineyard, like a hut in a field of melons, like a city under siege.

[NIV] The Lord 's anointed, our very life breath, was caught in their traps. We thought that under his shadow we would live among the nations.

[NIV] The Lord Almighty planned it, to bring low the pride of all glory and to humble all who are renowned on the earth.
