[NIV] So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.

[NIV] So this is what the Sovereign Lord says: 'See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who trusts will never be dismayed.

16[和合]所以主耶和华如此说:“看哪，我在锡安放一块石头，作为根11基，是试验过的石头，是稳固根基，宝贵的房角石，信靠的人必不着急。 |

[NIV] So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.
|
|
|
7[和合]可见，从此以后，你不是奴仆，乃是儿子了；既是儿子，就靠着神为14后嗣。 |
|
[NIV] Some pour out gold from their bags and weigh out silver on the scales; they hire a goldsmith to make it into a god, and they bow down and worship it.

|
6[和合]那从囊中抓金子，用天平平银子的人，雇银8匠制造神像，他们又俯伏，又叩拜。 |

[NIV] Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?

22[和合]你们休要倚`28靠世人，他鼻孔里不过有29气息；他在一切事上可算什么呢? |

[NIV] Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.

6[和合]这样的知识9奇妙，是我不能10测的；至高，是我不能及的。 |

[NIV] Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.

[NIV] Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.

[NIV] Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust.

15[和合]看哪!万民都象水桶的一滴，又算如天平上的微尘；他举起众海岛，好象极微之物。 |

[NIV] Surely wickedness burns like a fire; it consumes briers and thorns, it sets the forest thickets ablaze, so that it rolls upward in a column of smoke.

|
18[和合]邪恶象火焚24烧，烧灭荆棘和蒺藜。在稠密的树林中着起来，就成为烟柱，旋转上腾。 |

[NIV] Surely you desire truth in the inner parts ; you teach me wisdom in the inmost place.

|
|
6[和合]你所喜爱的，是内里诚实；你在我隐密处，必使我得10智慧。 |
