[NIV] But their swords will pierce their own hearts, and their bows will be broken.

[NIV] But they replied, 'We do not drink wine, because our forefather Jonadab son of Recab gave us this command: 'Neither you nor your descendants must ever drink wine.

[NIV] But those who hate him he will repay to their face by destruction; he will not be slow to repay to their face those who hate him.

10[和合]向恨他的人，当面17报应他们，将他们灭绝。凡恨他的人，必报应他们，决不迟18延。 |

[NIV] But you are less than nothing and your works are utterly worthless; he who chooses you is detestable.

24[和合]看哪!你们属乎虚无，你们的作为也属乎22虚空。那选择你们的是可憎恶的。 |

[NIV] But you are our Father, though Abraham does not know us or Israel acknowledge us; you, O Lord , are our Father, our Redeemer from of old is your name.

16[和合]亚伯拉罕虽然不认识我24们，以色列也不承认我们，你却是我们的父。耶和华啊!你是我们的25父，从万古以来，你名称为我们的救赎主。 |

[NIV] But you will not leave in haste or go in flight; for the Lord will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

12[和合]你们出18来必不至急忙，也不至奔逃，因为耶和华必在你们前头19行，以色列的神必作你们的后20盾。 |

[NIV] But you, O God, do see trouble and grief; you consider it to take it in hand.

|
其实你已经观24看；因为奸恶毒害，你都看见了，为要以手施行报应。 |

[NIV] But you, O Lord , be not far off; O my Strength, come quickly to help me.

19[和合]耶和华啊!求你不要33远离我；我的救主啊，求你快来34帮助我。 |

[NIV] But you, O Lord , laugh at them; you scoff at all those nations.

|
8[和合]但你耶和华必笑话他们，你要嗤14笑万邦。 |

[NIV] But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.

15[和合]主啊!你是有20怜悯有恩典的神，不轻易发怒，并有丰盛的21慈爱和诚实。 |

[NIV] But, brothers, when we were torn away from you for a short time (in person, not in thought), out of our intense longing we made every effort to see you.

17[和合]弟兄们，我们暂时与你们离别，是面目离别，38心里却不离别；我们极力地想法子，很愿意39见你们的面。 |
