[NIV] This is what the Sovereign Lord , the Holy One of Israel, says: 'In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.

[NIV] This is what you are to do to them: Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones, cut down their Asherah poles [2] and burn their idols in the fire.

[NIV] This was their appointed order of ministering when they entered the temple of the Lord , according to the regulations prescribed for them by their forefather Aaron, as the Lord , the God of Israel, had commanded him.

[NIV] Those people are zealous to win you over, but for no good. What they want is to alienate you [from us], so that you may be zealous for them.

[NIV] Those who are far from you will perish; you destroy all who are unfaithful to you.
