[bbe] Is it not trouble for the sinner, and destruction for the evil-doers?

岂不是祸患临到不义的，灾害临到作孽的呢？ |

[bbe] Is not God as high as heaven? and see the stars, how high they are!
|

|
神岂不是在高天吗？你看星宿何其高呢？ |
|
[bbe] Is not my word like fire? says the Lord; and like a hammer, smashing the rock to bits?
|
|
|
耶和华说，我的话岂不像火，又像能打碎磐石的大锤吗？ |
|
[bbe] Is the ploughman for ever ploughing? does he not get the earth ready and broken up for the seed?
|
|
|
那耕地为要撒种的，岂是常常耕地呢？岂是常常开垦耙地呢？ |
|
[bbe] Is there anything of which men say, See, this is new? It has been in the old time which was before us.
|
|
|
岂有一件事人能指着说，这是新的。哪知，在我们以前的世代，早已有了。 |
|
[bbe] Is there no life-giving oil in Gilead? is there no expert in medical arts? why then have my people not been made well?
|
|
|
在基列岂没有乳香呢？在那里岂没有医生呢？我百姓为何不得痊愈呢？ |
|
[bbe] Is this not David, who was named in their songs, when in the dance they said to one another, Saul has put to death thousands, and David tens of thousands?
|
|
|
从前以色列的妇女跳舞唱和、说、扫罗杀死千千、大卫杀死万万．所说的不是这个大卫麽。 |
|
[bbe] Is this the town which was full of joy, whose start goes back to times long past, whose wanderings took her into far-off countries?
|
|
|
这是你们欢乐的城，从上古而有的吗？其中的居民，往远方寄居。 |
|
[bbe] It is a watch-night before the Lord who took them out of the land of Egypt: this same night is a watch-night to the Lord for all the children of Israel, through all their generations.
|
|
|
这夜是耶和华的夜，因耶和华领他们出了埃及地，所以当向耶和华谨守，是以色列众人世世代代该谨守的。 |
|
[bbe] It is the Lord who goes before you; he will be with you, he will not take away his help from you or give you up: so have no fear.
|
|
|
耶和华必在你前面行、他必与你同在、必不撇下你、也不丢弃你、不要惧怕、也不要惊惶。 |
|
[bbe] It is the desire of these men to be at peace with us; let them then go on living in this country and doing trade here, for the country is wide open before them; let us take their daughters as wives and let us give them our daughters.

|
这些人与我们和睦、不如许他们在这地居住作买卖．这地也宽阔、足可容下他们、我们可以娶他们的女儿为妻、也可以把我们的女儿嫁给他们。 |
